Setup

 

  • Stand with your feet under hips, core tight and arms slightly in front of hips with elbows close to the body

  • Take a loose grip on the handles of your jump rope

 

Execution

 

  • Rotate your writs to build speed with the rope and jump just as the rope is about to pass under you

  • Land on the balls of your feet

  • The rope must pass under you for the repetition to count

  • "Double unders" require the rope to pass under your feet twice per jump (see below)

Tips

 

  • Keep elbows close to the body

  • Limit extraneous movements and jumping high - these will exhaust you
